What Compliancy Group is

Compliancy Group is a HIPAA-focused coached compliance program. Their methodology — "Achieve, Illustrate, Maintain" — guides a practice through HIPAA risk assessment, training, policy templates, BAA management, and ongoing monitoring. They serve thousands of small healthcare practices, especially dental, behavioral health, and small-physician offices, with a coached service model (a human "Compliance Coach" assigned to each customer).

What ProofOps Medical is

ProofOps Medical is an AI evidence assistant for Texas med spas, IV clinics, and aesthetic dermatology practices. We cover HIPAA, but we also cover TMB §169.25, HB 3749, OSHA 1910.1030, FDA DSCSA, and FTC advertising rules — the full Texas med-spa documentation stack. AI agents chase missing vendor receipts, surface GFE gaps, and produce a monthly readiness report.

When Compliancy Group is the right answer

When ProofOps Medical is the right answer

They can coexist. Some clinics use Compliancy Group for the deep HIPAA program (risk assessment, BAA management, breach response coaching) and ProofOps for the Texas med-spa-specific documentation layer (§169.25, HB 3749, GFE, OSHA, DSCSA). The two are complementary if you want both.

Honest weaknesses

Compliancy Group's weakness for a Texas med spa: they're not built for §169.25 or HB 3749. The program will get HIPAA right, but you'll still need a separate solution for the Texas medical-board documentation, OSHA records, and the rest of the stack. For a Texas-only buyer focused on med-spa-specific risk, the HIPAA-only scope leaves the bigger problem unsolved.

ProofOps Medical's weakness: we're not a coached HIPAA program. If you want a named coach walking you through every step of HIPAA risk assessment quarterly, Compliancy Group is the better experience. We track HIPAA evidence; we don't run the coaching program.
